The aim of this article is to shed light on how the Ottoman-Turkish constitutional movements were viewed in the Ottoman press. The official and non-official representatives of the İstanbul press are chosen as the main subject and the views of the different sections of the Ottoman population, the non-muslims, the people of the capital city, İstanbul, and of the rural areas are evaluated.
